Mr. Greg Blake

Mr. Blake tells us, "I want to see KCCBS as an outpost for sending well-equipped workers into a harvest field that is unlike any other that the world has ever known in history.

"Besides being able to do what God has called me to do, I enjoy the opportunity to be given young men and women to disciple. I have always been intrigued and convicted by a couple of studies in the ministry methods of Jesus: The Training of the Twelve by A. B. Bruce and The Master Plan of Evangelism by Robert Coleman. Simply put, they have discovered, after close inspection of the biblical account of Jesus' ministry to His disciples, that He invested the majority of His time, talent, and energies in a few, chosen persons to whom He could entrust the furtherance of His ministry. I do not want to build a legacy to Greg Blake, or to KCCBS and the Churches of God (Holiness), for that matter, but I sincerely and passionately desire to do my part in ensuring the furtherance of His kingdom by passing on to others what has been entrusted to me."

Mrs. Cheryl Carpenter

Goal for KCCBS is to "be a part of its spiritual, academic, and numeric growth"

She especially enjoys teaching at KCCBS "because of the evident, sincere desire of the students to prepare and to serve the Lord."

She is grateful for the friendship of her co-workers and the opportunity given to her to touch young lives for Christ.

Cheryl tells us: "One highlight of my time at KCCBS came during the last speech class of the year. Students were to give an impromptu eulogy for a person — either living or deceased — who had been a spiritual giant in their lives. What transpired was a surprise to us all. Each one present delivered a passionate tribute. Some spoke of family members, while another spoke of a Christian school principal/teacher. God's presence settled among us as emotion-charged words of love and appreciation poured out, honoring those who had been prayerful, steadfast, consistent, and loving — often through extreme circumstances. I came away with praise in my heart for those who have left their marks on these students' lives and a renewed determination to be one who is found faithful."

I want to see the classrooms full, the dorms overflowing, and young people actively preparing for ministry. Personally, I want to help by teaching and by improving the campus facility to accommodate the increase in attendance. I believe the environment for the students should be conducive to study and uplifting to their spirits.

"I really enjoy the interaction with the students in the classroom. To watch them develop from freshmen through seniors and then graduate and assume positions of leadership is a thrill I would not trade for anything in the world. The caliber of students in my classes is a great encouragement to me as I look at the potential for the kingdom of God.

"I am grateful for the privilege of working with young people who have a vision for service to God and their church. I am also grateful for my dedicated co-workers who also have a vision for the education of our youth."
